The London branch of Madame Tussauds’ Wax Museum unveiled a new wax statue of Miley Cyrus this week which looks scarily lifelike. The London Madam Tussauds’ tends to commission the best-looking wax statues of many of the other branches of the museum (the NYC branch has a creepy lookin’ Miley statue). Here are a couple pics of the new Miley wax statue and a couple pics of the real Miley Cyrus (taken on the Malibu, CA set of Hanna Montana which is currently being filmed) for comparison:

In this instance, I think I prefer the fake Miley to the real Miley (not that I really have strong feelings about Miley Cyrus in general, but you see what I’m saying). The resemblance is pretty uncanny.

There are a bunch of new reports going around concerning the Top Secret collaboration that Britney Spears has undertaken with Madonna for her Sticky & Sweet World Tour. Now, I did my best to stay away from these reports but my curiosity won out and I peeked at the deets … actually, I read in their entirety the detailed reports of what Madonna and Britney allegedly have planned. Here are a few pics of Britney and her mother Lynne Spears (who arrived in SoCal from Kentwood, LA earlier this week) as they made their way out of the Glenwood Place Studios (where Britney has been working on her new projects) last night:

Here is a pic of Camila Alves leaving the hospital in Santa Monica, CA where she gave birth to her firstborn son, Levi Alves McConaughey, earlier this week:

Because this was the only pic snapped (that I know of) as she made her exit from the hospital you can’t see that babydaddy Matthew and Levi are riding in the backseat. I’m sure the happy family are looking forward to a nice seclusion away from the world so that they can take their $3 million dollar photos for OK! magazine in peace. I’m sure we’ll be seeing what baby Levi Alves looks like in a couple week’s time … but first — mother, father and son will prolly need a bit of alone time before their lucrative photoshoot.

UPDATE: The Insider has a pic of new daddy Matthew carrying little baby Levi all bundled up in a blanket as he made his way out of the hospital:

HMMM … it’s still gonna take me some time to get used to the idea of Matthew McConaughey as a father. It looks like he’s carrying a football underneath that blanket.

The hilariously funny Australian sitcom Kath & Kim, which stars Aussie comediennes Jane Turner and Gina Riley, has been adapted for the US market and will be debuting on NBC this fall … starring Molly Shannon and Selma Blair. Now, depending on whether or not you’re familiar with the original series, this might sound like extremely bad news. I have been watching the original Kath & Kim on the Sundance Channel for years and absolutely love it the way it is … so I’m concerned that the US version will not be able to do the show justice. Here is a side-by-side comparison of the Kath & Kim charcters in the US version and the OZ version:

My initial reaction to hearing about this new US version of the show was not a good one … the thing I love best about the Aussie version is that the comedy is so dry, so deadpan and offers no explanation to the audience (whereas American comedy is kinda force-fed to the viewer). As an American viewer, who prolly has no concept of this social culture in Australia, you either get it or you don’t … and if you get it, it’s funny as hell. BUT … there are a couple of clips that tease what the US version of the show will be like and, to be completely honest, the clips are very funny. After the jump, check out the clips …

Amy Winehouse attemped to add the title of DJ to her expanding résumé by taking on a spinning gig at the Monarch Pub in Camden, UK last night … here are a few pics of Amy on the 1’s and 2’s during her Snakehips At The Monarch DJ performance last night:

Amy Winehouse may not always be reliable but she did turn up to the Camden Monarch venue in London last night to launch her own club night called Snakehips At The Monarch. The venue was packed out to see the star, who was meant to be taking part in a DJ-battle against DJ Bioux but actually just swayed behind the decks to 60s tunes while another DJ spinned tunes for her. Anna, who was watching, said: “It was a really good atmosphere but she didn’t get on the decks at all. “It was just the other guy. He was good, so good but Amy didn’t start DJing at all. It was a really good environment though and although Amy wasn’t DJing, her being there gave a point to the night so it was really good. I’d go back.” Amy didn’t look happy throughout the night but she did remind the crowd of her loyalty to her husband by wearing a heart-shaped badge in her hair with the name Blake on display.

So … lemme get this straight … Amy Winehouse was billed as the DJ for the night and she had another guy do all the DJing for her? Yeah, that sounds about right. After the jump, see what £12 gets you when you show up for an Amy Winehouse DJ gig …

Earlier this week, we saw pics of Hayden Panettiere rockin’ a whole lotta silky-long, fake hair on the set of Heroes which I assumed was a hairweave … it now appears that Hayden was merely sportin’ a fancy wig, which she has since removed:

I gotta say, I’m so over all the fake hair weaves all over the place these days in Hollywood (sorry, Britney). Hayden looks so much prettier with her shorter, natural hair. Ladies like Dina Lohan, Paris Hilton and (again, sorry) Britney Spears have just killed the hair weave look. I don’t mind naturally long hair (especially when it’s super-sexy like THIS) but obvs fake weaves are so passé. I’m glad that Hayden is keepin’ her wigs on set and is rockin’ her naturally shorter hair off set. She looks great! Let’s hear it for the real thing.
