Papa-to-be Pete Wentz stepped out in Hollywood, CA last night with his pregs wife Ashlee Simpson in tow and made a huge show of carrying around a fake pillow baby for all the world to see:

Clearly, Petey is trying to get in as much practice carrying babies in public as he can before the joyous birth of his real live baby occurs later on this year. It seems odd to me that Pete would be so interested in playing with the paps like this … it seems to invite them to enjoy free reign to get all snappy and close when his baby is eventually born and they step out together. Play now, pay later.

Thomas Beatie, better known to the world as the “Pregnant Man”, has just given birth to a baby girl — according to ABC News (THOMAS BEATIE, ALSO KNOWN AS THE ‘PREGNANT MAN,’ GIVES BIRTH TO A HEALTHY BABY GIRL, ABC NEWS HAS LEARNED). No real details are available just yet but just this past Monday it was reported that Beatie was due to give birth “within the week” … and BOOM! here we are:

Thomas Beatie, the transgender man who made headlines as the so-called “pregnant man,” gave birth today to a healthy baby girl, ABC News has learned. Born a woman, Beatie, 34, who had his breasts surgically removed and legally changed his gender from female to male, leaped to prominence around the world in April when the wispy bearded man revealed he was pregnant. Despite years of taking hormones and living outwardly as a man, Beatie maintained that he retained his female sex organs because he intended one day to get pregnant. “I actually opted not to do anything to my reproductive organs because I wanted to have a child one day. I see pregnancy as a process and it doesn’t define who I am,” Beatie told Oprah Winfrey in April. “I feel it’s not a male or female desire to have a child. It’s a human need. I’m a person and I have the right to have a biological child,” he said. Beatie was impregnated with sperm from a donor. His wife, Nancy, inseminated him at home with a device she said was like a syringe without the needle. They bought it from a veterinarian and it is typically used to feed birds. He has an intact vagina, but he has not yet revealed how he delivered the baby.

Now there’s something you don’t hear about every day. I suppose congratulations are in order for the happy family. Here’s hoping that mother, father/mother and baby are all doing well. Mazel Tov!

Best buds Matthew McConaughey and Lance Armstrong convened in Malibu, CA yesterday to go for a little work-out jog together. Nowhere in sight was Camilla Alves or Kate Hudson … it was just the two bros, hangin’ out like men often do when they need to pump up their massive bodies. Here are a few pics:

Sadly, Matt and Lance’s third buddy Jake Gyllenhaal was also nowhere to be seen. It’s been ages since we’ve seen the Trifecta of Matt, Lance and Jake hanging out together … which is kinda sad, if you think about it. It doesn’t seem that long ago that the 3 lads spent all of their free time together, paling or horsing around with one another (click HERE for a refresher on how things used to be for McGyllenStrong). Ah well … at least Matthew and Lance still hang out … maybe Jake will join them after he sees all the fun that he’s been missing. Lindsay Lohan celebrated her 22nd birthday last night with family and friends at Teddy’s lounge inside the Roosevelt Hotel here in Hollywood, CA. Keeping the guest list at a conservative 50 people, L. Lo partied the night away at a prom-themed shindig with only her closest peeps by her side. This morning, Linds called in to talk to Ryan Seacrest on his morning radio show here in LA on KIIS FM and talked a bit about her party and her birthday wishes. Here is a fairly detailed report from People magazine on Lindsay’s party and some deets from her chat with Ryan Seacrest:

Lindsay Lohan turned 22 Wednesday night with an intimate prom-themed birthday bash – and a sweet smooch from Samantha Ronson. The actress – wearing a bright pink strapless micro-minidress and a massive diamond necklace – arrived at Teddy’s lounge inside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel just after 10 p.m. And her companion Ronson took the prom-theme seriously, dressed to the nines in black pants, a tuxedo shirt, bow tie and top hat with red trim. Once the 50 guests – including former Sopranos star Jamie Lynn Sigler – began arriving at the balloon-filled venue, the Birthday Girl greeted them all energetically with smiles, hugs and kisses. Ronson was never far behind, often keeping her hand on the small of Lohan’s back. Just after midnight, Teddy’s wheeled out a large pink sheet cake featuring a picture of Marilyn Monroe in her iconic wind-blown white dress. The entire lounge sang “Happy Birthday” and Lohan obligingly blew out the candles. Her friends then chanted “speech, speech, speech,” but the guest of honor replied jokingly, “Shut the fuck up.” (Her mother, Dina, stepped in to say, “Thank you all for coming.”) Soon after that, Ronson took over the D.J. duties (replacing DJ AM), as she spun a mix of ’80s tunes and current hits. Lohan – who stuck to Red Bull all evening – made several visits to the booth and pumped her fists in the air to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.” As the party wound down, the couple appeared to relax, even sneaking in a small peck on the lips at the DJ booth. By 1:15 a.m., the music was muted and Lohan turned out the lights with Ronson by her side.

Talking to Ryan Seacrest this morning, Lindsay talked about her party and her birthday wishes saying:

“I guess for everyone to leave everyone alone … no more tabloids … I just want to live a happy, healthy year and continue on the path that I’ve been on and, um, you know, be with the person that I care about and my family and I think that’s it.”

And the news just keeps on getting better … yesterday, we heard the first amazing news that Shannen Doherty was “in talks” to reprise her role as Brenda Walsh on the upcoming Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off show set to debut on The CW this Fall … and today, according to E!’s Watch with Kristin, not only is Shannen totally on board to appear on the show but that Jennie Garth (who played Kelly Taylor on BH, 90210) may be on board to appear with Shannen on screen — together! You may recall that Jennie Garth has already officially signed on to appear on 90210 as the guidance counselor at West Beverly High. It was previously announced that Tori Spelling would be reprising her role as Donna Martin on 90210 but, because she *just* gave birth to her baby a few weeks ago, will have to delay her debut on the show a little further into the season (Tori is insistent that she will appear on the show, adamantly speaking to People magazine so that folks don’t count her out in all the hoopla about Shannen’s return to the show). But still … all three ladies will eventually return to 90210!

If you’re a fan of the OG Peach Pit posse, you might want to sit down, ’cause sources connected to the CW’s new 90210 are spilling exclusive dish of OMG proportions. In a nutshell: Shannen Doherty is in, Tori Spelling is out and Jennie Garth may be—wait for it—reuniting with Shannen on the screen … After EW.com’s Michael Ausiello first reported the news that Shannen is in talks, a very reliable and very inside source who works on 90210 tells me exclusively that “It is happening with Shannen. It’s just a question of how long she’ll shoot, whether it will be one day or ten, and what the storyline will be, but we are working on it and it is a very real thing.” Inside sources also confirm exclusively that Tori will not be appear in the season premiere as planned because of personal reasons—like she just gave birth to a baby girl on June 9. The new mom had been signed on to do a few episodes at the beginning of the season, but she isn’t yet ready to return to work, so her appearance has been pushed to a later date. As for Shannen’s storyline, I’m told the details are still in the initial-concept stages, but the writers are hoping to get Shannen and Jennie together, onscreen, for a scene … Of course, the real question is, will they do it? “I don’t think there’s any love lost between Shannen and Jennie,” says one rock-solid inside source. “But they are both adults now and professionals, and I don’t see it being an issue. Everyone has their take on what happened back in the day, and I think the feeling is that it’s time to move on. They were 19 and 20 when all of that happened and a lot has changed. And, you know, they’re not moving in together, just shooting together for an hour and a half.” Another insider close to the negotiations points out: “I want to stress that Shannen has been very, very cool through this whole process. We have seen nothing like the behavior for which she was once famous for.”

As for Tori Spelling, well, she doesn’t want anyone to forget that altho she wasn’t the first of the ladies to have her name attached to 90210 she wants everyone to know that she did sign on BEFORE Shannen Doherty did and she’s TOTES coming back and we can just blame her new baby for causing the delay … don’t forget that:

Tori Spelling was scheduled to appear in the pilot of The CW’s 90210 spinoff, but it looks like reprising her role as Donna Martin will have to wait. “I’m looking forward to returning to 90210 in a later episode,” Spelling, 35, tells PEOPLE exclusively, “but I just had my baby three weeks ago via C-section. So right now I have to focus on recuperating, and my first priority is my family.”

It’s very exciting knowing that Kelly, Brenda and Donna will be appearing together again on the small screen. I am fairly certain that there won’t be the same drama between these ladies that existed all those years ago. Surely they’ve all grown up … surely they can let bygones be bygones. This is the best news for the new 90210 show. I’m totally amped for the show’s debut. It’s a terrible shame that Gabrielle Carteris is suffering from her recent injury otherwise I’m sure we’d be seeing Andrea Zuckerman on the new show as well. Even still, this is all very good news. Woot!

Kylie Minogue, international superstar and arguably the world’s favorite Aussie (sorry Crocodile Dundee), was honored at Buckingham Palace this morning by receiving her very own OBE (Order of the British Empire) medal which was bestowed upon her by Prince Charles. Here are a few pics of Kylie as she made her way into the palace, out of the palace (proudly showing off her new bauble) and from the short, sweet medal ceremony with the prince:

Singer Kylie Minogue has been formally appointed OBE by the Prince of Wales at a Buckingham Palace ceremony. The 40-year-old, best known for hits including I Should Be So Lucky and Spinning Around, was successfully treated for breast cancer in 2005. Minogue, who wore a cream-coloured dress decorated with large stars, said it was “overwhelming” and “emotional”. “I knew I would be nervous. I was very excited and to have my family here was magical,” she said. Minogue, who chatted to other guests at the investiture, said: “I do feel very proud. I think my job, aside from making music, is about communication and this symbolises my communication with my audience around the world.” She said she was “slightly less nervous” about meeting Prince Charles because the two had met before. “He asked me what I’m up to at the moment and said he is happy to see me better,” the singer added. Of her medal, she said: “I’ll admire it for a while, and then keep it safe in its box” … In May she received France’s highest cultural honour, the Order of Arts and Letters.

This from the Times Online: Commenting on the experience, she said: “It was surprisingly emotional. I expected to be a little nervous, obviously very excited, but it was very emotional seeing all these people from different walks of life joining together for this event.” Taking in the lavish decorations, she said: “I’m imagining our family, when we were kids, saying to me, ‘One day you’re going to go to the Palace’. That would not have been believable.” She added: “It is an incredible honour for me to receive this award. It makes me feel both humble and proud to be recognised for doing a job that I love so much.” Minogue was joined at the Royal residence by her parents, former ballet dancer Carol and accountant Ron, and her sister X Factor judge Dannii, who rushed to Buckingham Palace from filming auditions for the TV talent show.

What an incredible honor … she was already recognized for her cultural impact in France and today she is honored in Great Britain. It’s very unfortunate that folks in our country have no idea how much of a megastar Kylie is in the rest of the world. CNN covered this award ceremony on their site but had to devote a portion of the copy to a bit of a “history lesson” for US readers who are still unfamiliar with Kylie Minogue and her accomplishments. Much congrats and love goes out to Kylie on this very happy day for her. I am literally counting down the days until I will be able to see Kylie in concert with my very own eyes on July 26. It’s been a long time coming, I can’t hardly wait.

Bummer break-up news to report … the blink-and-you-missed-it romantic relationship betwixt Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams has already fizzled out, gone kaput, crapped out. Blaming the glaring light of the media spotlight, Ryan released a statement explaining the reasons for the break-up … sad but true, they are dunzo, ya’ll. Here is the full text of Ryan’s statement that was released, exclusively apparently, to OK! magazine:

“Mandy is one of those genuinely sweet angelic people you wish to meet your whole life. I am grateful for our friendship and how it allowed us both to grow and learn more. Unfortunately I am allergic to paparazzi and have found the best antidote to that sort of nonsense is staying behind the guitar and typewriter, staying close to my support group of friends and band mates and not engaging in activities that prevent me from taking care of myself or others. I found the entire speculation and subsequent photographs and intrusions terrifying and only wish to live as normal a life as possible, so that I might always remain punk as fuck AND sober. Also, I just want to jam. Plus I like metal A LOT.”

I understand the couple, R-Andy M-Adams, started hooking up back in December but managed to keep things quiet until March and then earlier this month the first pics of the couple together surfaced … and now they’re over. Mandy had to be the most wholesome of Ryan’s string of babes and Ryan was deffo the most interesting of Mandy’s men. I was taken aback when I first heard that these two were dating and now that they’re dunzo, I’m kinda mourning the loss. Sure, they made an odd pair but the thought of the two of them together was an intriguing one … what in the world do they have to talk about? Would they ever collaborate musically (like Ryan did with his ex-girlfriend Leona Naess)? What in the world was the sex like? I guess now we’ll never know. Peace the Spork Out, R-Andy M-Adams … you shall be missed.
