Ugh. It’s been a rough morning/day/afternoon. I got really sidetracked with the huge error that sprung up overnight (which is why posting is so late today) and I ended up devoting much of my time today to trying to figure out what went wrong. As best as I can tell, there is a problem in the page code that may be conflicting with You Tube vids (like the one I posted last night/early this morning). It caused a fatal error for Internet Explorer users and that is unacceptable. There is also a problem of items from the right sidebar (widgets) disappearing all on their own. Fun! OY! I’m so not good with tech problems … my stress level has been thru the roof today. I anticipated that there would be tech issues (there are *always* tech issues no matter what) but I tend to freak out when they rear their ugly heads. The probs haven’t been resolved but they’re on the list of things that need to get taken care of. Again, I say UGH!
Yesterday was a great day tho … I was happily giddy that the site was functioning perfectly (well, as perfectly as it could until the little snafu early this morning) so I was ready to share my happiness with my friends. A bunch of us met up for dinner at Rumbutan in Silver Lake (after Sarah, Adriana and I did some shopping in the area beforehand). We planned on seeing The Incredible Hulk but all showings were sold out … we ended up crashing in on Steph and Alek at their place for a night of drinkin’ and talkin’. It was really very chill, very relaxing.
I’ve no idea what the plan is for today … I’m still stressin’ the tech shizz but I’m gonna try and get out and away from the computer (after I finish the day’s work) to get my mind off of things. Again, if there are things wrong with the site, let me know … I’m anxious to get the probs fixed and have the site PERFECT AGAIN as soon as possible :)

I know you said it wasn’t working in IE, but if it makes you feel any better it’s working perfectly fine in Firefox =)
I guess you fixed the problem. I’m using IE and I see the site just fine.
And it’s working just dandy on my macbook pro’s Safari… do love the changes Trent.
breathe trent, breathe…it’ll all be okay!!
Working fine in IE as of 10:37pm PST, 14-Jun-2008.
Love the slick new look — HATE the stripes in the background. I can hardly read a thing for feeling motion sick. Plain pink would be a lot easier on the eyes.
You actually use IE still? Dude you know it’s all about Firefox, don’t you??
Oh nevermind I read that more clearly (just woke up) and I see what you really meant now. Sheesh, yet another reason no one should use IE.
Hey Trent,
since I use the Embedded Video Plugin, Videos work. (Link: http://www.jovelstefan.de/embedded-video).
I don’t work with widgets – they’re way easier to handle on the one side, but on the other… if there’s a problem, it’s just so much harder to solve them…
Another thing: I once used the “Fold Category List” like your three lists up on the right. But it just made me crazy that everytime words were too long, the whole blog layout crashed. :( … or… are u using a newer and better plugin? If yes, let us know which one, thanks :)
yeah i agree, the pink stripes makes it hard to focus on reading . it’s the kind of motion thingy. but otherwise, yeeeeahh (:

Yay, it’s working again!
Your site is working for for me, but I’m having issues with youtube this morning. Maybe it’s them!
Love the new site, Trent-a-licious! Working great. And as for the pink strips everyone is talking about? I love ‘em! Then again, I have a retinal disease which has left me with tunnel vision (no joke) and I can’t actually SEE the lines when I’m reading your page, but whatevs! I say keep them :-)
I’m so glad the problem’s fixed. I tried and tried late afternoon (East coast time) yesterday to get on the site and thought it was my computer! I thought I wasn’t going to be able to get my “fix” of the new pinkisthenewblog!!! Glad all is well!
trent, darling, the pic of you and madonna has returned to my comp. and everything else appears to be working perfectly… I’m forced to take a comp. tech course this semester, and as you can tell from the blog the prof. requires us to keep in that class, things there don’t EVER seem to go well for me, so you have my sympathies…at any rate, all looks fabulous now! :)
Might have something to do with the 200 odd XHTML errors that you have. You’re using a xHTML 1 doctype which means you need xHTML used. Internet explorer is well known for throwing out errors like that.
= Horrible.
= better
= best.
What clowns coded this for you? I bet they charged you a lot too, sadly.
Ahh, doesn’t post HTML. Darn.
font color=white = horrible
font color=”white” = better
span style=”color: #fff” = best for your doctype.
(sorry for the triple comment ;) )
Thaks for taking off the background diagonal pink stripes.
Thank you, thank you, thak you!
Oh, no. Here they are again.
I liked the green best. :-(
