‘Storm’ Front
After hitting a speed bump or two, Mama Lynne Spears’s tell-all memoir (which was put on hold almost immediately after it was announced for publication) is now back on track for a Fall release. Entitled Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, Lynne’s new book will tell her side of the story of raising her famous daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn. Hmmmm:

Lynne Spears’s memoir about raising her famous daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn will be released this fall, the publisher confirms to PEOPLE. “When Jamie Lynn got pregnant, it was put on hold,” says a spokesman for Thomas Nelson, which publishes inspirational books and Bibles. “Lynne never stopped working on it because she wants to express her love for her children and tell their stories through a mother’s eyes.” Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World” is likely to be released in September, says the spokesman. Spears’s manuscript “will not be a parenting book,” he says. “It’s her story of what it was like being a mom and raising two very famous people. It’s a memoir.”
I dunno about this. The book may have been put on hold when news of Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy broke earlier this year but I recall that Britney was never too keen on her mother writing a book about their family private life. I would hate for Lynne to jeopardize all the progress she has made healing the rift with her daughter just so that she can release a tell-all book. Something about this whole thing just rubs me the wrong way. I suppose the book could be an uplifting and totally positive fluff piece completely devoid of any salacious and/or disparaging content … but I suspect the publishers are very interested in selling books, and the salacious sells. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how much of her daughters Lynne Spears is willing to monetize in order to sell some books. [Source]

She’ll sell out – just like she sold-out Jamie Lynn’s pics when she first became pregs.
If mama Lynn doesn’t watch it – she’ll be like mama Lohan soon…YIKES!!

heard on the local morning radio show (’mojo in the morning’ in detroit) jamie-lynn called the wedding off. they quoted her as saying that she didn’t want to marry casey just because she was pregnant. the quote went on to say she did not want to raise a baby in a home where the parents would be fighting all of the time. anyone else hear this?

This page doesn’t work with the Opera Browser. It’s pink text on a pink background

I agree with Vanessa. It’s way too hard to read the pink text in Firefox against a lighter pink background. There’s not enough contrast. Could we get black?
And it’s pretty disgusting that Lynn Spears is so eager to capitalise on her daughters this way.

Ugh I hate this. The Mama Spears and Mama Lohan should do a book about how NOT to raise children. “Here are ALL of the awful things we’ve done to exploit and hurt our children. Look how SWELL they came out!”

Her one sided story isn’t the one I want to hear! I actually prefer the US weekly and OK stories to mama Spears contrived and contorted version!!! I smell bullshit!

you know what, i dont think mama spears is horrible. Teens get pregs all the time. Just because her last name is spears its like we’ve all condemned her and her family. Brit Brit went through a rough patch, and it was magnified by tabloids. I will buy the book. and read it. Everyone loves to read stories about people overcomming… and this is a huge overcomming story. just like a child caled it (anyone else love/hate that book!) its painful and sad, but its a great pieceof literature.

Ah- the old Britney. She looks so pretty in that pic. Sigh.

personally, i’d prefer a fluff piece book to a scathing tell-all … i’d be nice to read some positive stuff from the Spears for a change.
also, we’re working on changing the text color in the comments to black for easier reading

Oooooh, I love that comments are back. I just wish they were easier on the old eyes. Can we get black comments on pink background, pretty please?!
Thank you Trent! SOOO glad you’re back w/comments, woot!

That old picture makes me miss the old Brit Brit!

All this is going to do is mess Britney up again. I hope Lynn realizes that this will destroy her relationship with her daughters even more. What the hell is wrong with this mom?
