Carrie Underwood Does ‘Cosmopolitan’ Magazine

America’s favorite Country poplet Carrie Underwood is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Cosmopolitan magazine. In her coverstory interview, Carrie talks to the mag about her innate unsexiness (“I don’t consider myself sexy … I’m kind of a nervous person in general. I’m socially awkward. I’m not tall and sensuous. I usually wear sweats everywhere I go. Oh, and I burp a lot.”) her #1 relationship no-no (“Cheating is a dealbreaker. If you cheat you’re gone…Getting revenge on a guy is just not worth it to me … the best revenge I can think of is becoming famous.”) among other things. Here is Carrie‘s cute and simple cover:


This year, Carrie Underwood won her third Grammy and toured for her megahit second album. Here, the private singer opens up about her “carnival ride” career and new perspective on love. Just three short years after winning the fourth season of American Idol , 25-year-old Carrie Underwood has seemingly undergone a radical transformation — from a shy, plainly dressed girl from Checotah, Oklahoma, to a chart-topping singer who performs in front of massive sold-out stadium crowds, sporting sexy above-the knee boots and black mini shorts. The keyword here is seemingly. The second she wraps her Cosmo cover shoot at a New York City photo studio, the petite blond sheds the designer duds that she’s been expertly posing in and slips into her own clothes: loose-fitting gray sweatpants, a blue hoodie sweatshirt, and white sneakers.

That’s my Oklahoma girl … keepin’ it real to the very last. As much as I am not a Country Music fan, I find that I really enjoy both Carrie‘s music and her whole persona. For me, she is one of the very rare shining stars to come out of American Idol and I couldn’t be more happy for her success.
