The second issue of the kinda-faux magazine Restless Style is scheduled to be “released” on the hit soap opera The Young and the Restless on June 27 but we get to check out the coverphoto that features singer Katy Perry on the cover right now:

Restless Style is a magazine/website that was recently introduced and launched in the on-going storyline on Y&R but also exists as a real website that kinda bridges the gap between the fantasy world in Genoa City, WI and the real world at large. Personally, I think it’s a brills concept. Restless Style allows the folks at Y&R to incorporate today’s current buzzworthy folks in the show and allows fans of the show to feel a connection to the storyline. We’re only 2 issues in but so far, I think it’s an amazing idea … it’d be great if other TV shows did the same thing. In fact, Gossip Girl is kinda doing this same thing with the official blog they’ve got going on the show’s website (click HERE to read a post about the Gossip Girl kids being sighted in the Hamptons). This new form of interactivity works well with the new Internet savvy kids. But anyways … back to Katy Perry … on this cover, Katy is doing her best Madonna impersonation with this vintage silk dress from The Way We Wore (clearly, Katy is showing Madge some love since Maddy’s been showing Katy the love in recent interviews). Sure, the whole concept may feel a bit like a marketing ploy but they’re really only “selling” what fans want … more of the show and celebs that they love.

Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller and Siouxsie Sioux were among the attendees at the afterparty for the London premiere of the new movie The Edge of Love which took place at The Berkeley last night. Here are a few pics from the afterparty red carpet:

The Edge of Love tells the tale of the love triangle between two women (played by Knightley and Miller) and poet Dylan Thomas (played by Matthew Rhys) and the complexities that come from chosing between two loves and possibly betraying a friend. You know, your usual fun time at the movies. Siouxsie Sioux was among the guests at the premiere and afterparty because she sings the song Careless Love which is featured on the movie soundtrack (and can be heard HERE on a Siouxsie My Space profile). To be honest, I’m not really a fan of these sorts of romantic/drama flicks … so I will most likely not be seeing it at all … but I love that Siouxise was tapped to sing one of the songs on the soundtrack (which features songs that Keira Knightley sings as well) … and, of course, I love posting pics of the faboo Ms. Sioux. If anyone sees this movie and thinks it’s worth my time, shoot me a message … I’m interested to hear what y’all think.

Lindsay Lohan bared her midriff yesterday while on the set of her new movie Labor Pains which is currently shooting all over the SoCal area. Dressed as a baseball player, Linds tried to cool herself off as best she could by lifting up her shirt to try and cool off her tummy … here are a few pics:

Dang, Lindsay’s got a great bod. A few summers ago, Lindsay was rail thin with bones protuding from every part of her body (you may recall that she had been spending a lot of time with her then joined-at-the-hip BFF Nicole Richie who was also rail thin — I had dubbed them The Skeletwins^TM) but these days she’s lookin’ healthy and happy … and hot, literally. It can’t be easy filming scenes like this for a movie when the temperature soars into the high 90’s (like it did yesterday). It looks like Linds is hanging in there like a champ. I like the healthy new Lindsay, workin’ hard when it’d be easier to just bail and skip out on responsibilities (like she did last summer while working on Georgia Rule). I hope all this hard work does pay off for her in the long run. The positive reinforcement would do wonders for her continuing health and happiness.

While summer vacation is just getting started for many folks, it’s back to work time for the cast of Gossip Girl. Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick have all convened in the Hamptons, NY to begin shooting scenes for the second season of Gossip Girl, scheduled to debut on The CW this September 1. It’s unclear if Blake and Penn are having themselves a lovers’ spat or if they’re just exchanging pleasantries (or if Penn is annoyed that Blake is making fun of him for wearing his haircutting smock in public) but I understand that things are still going well for these two lovebirds. I’m not sure what’s going on with those jean shorts that Leighton is wearing … they give her a bit of a mom’s butt, hopefully it’s not an outfit she’ll be wearing on the show. Yeah, there ain’t all that much sexy going on in these pics … for the hatwness, we turn to Gossip boys Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick …

Yesterday was the glorious day that a new member of the Spears family was brought forth into the world and, natch, all members of the Spears family rallied around young Jamie Lynn Spears to lend their support as she birthed her baby. TMZ reports that altho all immediate members of the Spears family were on hand at the hospital at the time of baby Maddie Briann’s birth, only Grandmama Lynne Spears was in the operating room with JL as she gave birth. They also report that new Papa Casey Aldridge was so nervous about holding his newborn daughter that he feared he’d drop her. Ain’t that precious? Anyways, both Britney and Bryan Spears were at the hospital for the birth of Maddie Briann … but shortly after the baby was born they each made a beeline for the convenience store to pick up snacks (or chewin’ tobacco? It’s unclear) … here are a few pics:

Life and Style magazine reports that Grandpappy Jamie Spears gave them a quote after Maddie Briann was born (When asked how he feels about the new addition to the family, the new grandpa tells Life & Style, “We’re thrilled, we’re all absolutely thrilled.”) and also report the baby was born around 8am by C-section. People magazine, on the other hand, got quotes from other, more removed, members of the Spears & Aldridge families, friends and townfolk:

That’s the way it is with our circle of friends.” Second cousin Janet Bridges acknowledges, “I didn’t even know she had the baby,” but gives a thumbs up to the baby girl’s name. “Ooh, I like ‘Maddie,’” says Bridges. The birth was the talk of Kentwood. “I’m really happy for her and her family,” says Jennifer Pike, who works at the corner store where the Spears family often shops. “There will probably be some rough times and some bumpy times, but I wish the best for her. She’ll be awesome.” Adds another friend, “She was so excited about having this child. (She was) looking forward to it so much.” The days have passed slowly for Spears and fiancé Casey Aldridge, who had finished preparing for the baby a few weeks ago. “It seemed like this day would never come,” says a cousin of Aldridge. “They’ve been getting ready, but everything was pretty much done by last month. So they just had to wait.”

As you may imagine, Britney Spears talked to no one. We’ll prolly have to wait until the OK! magazine coverstory on the birth of Maddie Briann comes out to get any decent inside information from the core Spears family … and that is fine by me. I hope Jamie Lynn and Casey are able to enjoy the first days and weeks with their newborn daughter without having to deal with the press or the paps. They must be insanely relieved that their baby has arrived at long last … I hope they are able to take the time to enjoy their new family away from prying eyes.

Naomi Campbell showed up at a London court this morning to plead guilty to four of six counts of assault that were brought against her after an incident broke out at London’s Heathrow airport back in April where Naomi flipped out on police officers after she believed a piece of her luggage had been stolen. Here are a few pics of Naomi as she sheepishly made her way into court to make her plea earlier today:

Naomi Campbell appeared in court Friday and pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers in London’s Heathrow airport this April, PEOPLE has confirmed. The 38-year-old pleaded guilty to four of the six charges she was facing – two counts of assaulting a police constable; one of using threatening, abusive words or behavior to cabin crew; and one of using insulting, abusive, threatening behavior or disorderly conduct likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. The Crown Prosecution Service has decided not to pursue the other two charges. “Ms. Campbell was aggressive, hostile and violent to people who were simply trying to do their jobs,” C.P.S. director Nazir Afzal said in a statement. “Her behaviour fell far short of what is acceptable.” According to one source close to the trial, Campbell must remain in the Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court precinct to await sentencing. “The magistrate has asked for a report from the probation service prior to sentencing,” the source tells PEOPLE. “It is expected that she will be sentenced this afternoon.” Campbell could face a jail term of up to six months and a fine of $10,000 for each assault charge. Before the court convened, a rep for the model told press she “regretted” the incident.

I *love* how Naomi “regrets” these sorts of flare ups only after she gets caught and is about to be punished. If anything, she should sue the anger management facilities that she’s been working with over the past few years cuz their techniques aren’t really working for her. I find it very hard to believe that Naomi will be punished in any real way … I’m sure her lawyers worked out a deal where she’d get off from any serious punishment in exchange for standing in open court to plead guilty to the charges. She’ll prolly receive a slap on the wrists … again. But, I’d really love it if she got sentenced to serve another week of community service like the last time she was punished. I don’t know why, but the notion of Naomi Campbell scrubbing toilets really makes me smile.

UPDATE: This just in … Naomi has been sentenced to 200 hours of community service! It looks like she may be scrubbin’ toilets again very soon :)

Sad news today … US Weekly is “exclusively” reporting that the lovefest between Paula Abdul and her restaurateur boyfriend J.T. Torregiani has come to an end — which comes exactly one week after E! reported the split. HMMM, I somehow missed this info the first time around but according to date stamps on these reports, E! had the story last Friday. In any event, the couple have called it quits …. they’re dunzo, y’all:

From E!: Paula Abdul is back on the market. Abdul’s publicist, Jeffrey Ballard, confirms exclusively to E! News that Abdul and her boyfriend, restauranteur J.T. Torregiani, have been not together for at least two months. “They broke up months ago,” Ballard says, adding that the couple, who moved in together last year, are no longer cohabitating. E! News has learned that J.T. is now living with a friend in the Hollywood Hills … Torregiani is one of the partners of the Dolce Group, a restaurant and nightclub enterprise, which includes Los Angeles hot spots Les Deux, Geisha House, Bella, Ketchup and Dolce. They were last spotted together celebrating Torregiani’s birthday at Beso restaurant in Hollywood on May 19. According to Abdul’s publicist, the couple still remain on good terms. They “still are friendly, though,” Ballard tells E! News. But apparently someone hasn’t gotten the memo from Paula’s publicist. When contacted for comment, a rep for Torregiani insisted they are still dating.

HMMM, this is basically the same statement Paula’s publicist that US Weekly is reporting this week that E! reported last week … and still no confirmation from Torregiani’s publicist that the couple have split. I’m gonna go with they’re prolly over and dunzo and leave it at that. It’s kind of a bummer for Paula … she had snagged herself a hot, younger dude to make babies with and now … nothing. Maybe he was a cold hearted snake? Perhaps opposites don’t attract? Whatever the case may be, I hope she is able to find happiness again soon. As much as I like to give her a hard time, I do <3 Paula Abdul and I’d like to see her happy … since I’ve given up on seeing her sane.
