The stars of the new big screen movie version of Get Smart were joined by various guests at the Hollywood premiere of their new movie at the Mann Village Theatre in Westwood, CA last night. Here are a few pics from the Get Smart premiere’s red carpet:

As far as movie adaptations of popular (oftentimes classic) TV shows go, the results are usually hit or miss (mostly miss). Off the top of my head, I remember not really liking the movie versions of Bewitched, The Mod Squad, Scooby Doo, The Dukes of Hazzard and The Flintstones. I did like The Brady Bunch, Mission: Impossible, Josie and the Pussycats, Popeye and of course Sex and the City. So really, it’s anyone’s guess if these movie adaptions will turn out worthwhile until they actually get released. I used to love watching Get Smart … it was one of those shows that aired during the day so I could only watch it when I stayed home from school on vacation or when I was sick. It always felt like such a treat to be able to watch the show (most prolly cuz I got to stay home from school). I’m encouraged that they put together a great cast to make the film … and I’ve been liking all the trailers and TV ads that have been released thus far. This movie is deffo on my list of summer movies to see. Steve Carell is a funny, funny man … I think he will make a great Secret Agent Maxwell Smart … at least, that’s my hope.

Jennifer Lopez and her (easy to mistake for dead) hubby Marc Anthony surfaced in NYC over the weekend. J. Lo was lookin’ lovely in her white dress and with that colorful flower nestled just so in her hair … Marc was lookin’, well, as corpse-like as he usually does:

La Diva Latina has been keeping a relatively low profile since the birth of her twin babies Maximilian David and Emme Maribel made their debut earlier this year in February. I understand that J. Lo is hard at work on her new reality TV show for TLC, the premise of which I don’t quite understand. It may or may not deal with her private life at home, it may or may not deal with her relationship with her husband, it may or may not feature her twin babies … who the hell knows. I do understand that her clothing empire will be heavily featured so we can all look forward to that. Honestly, if I can get enjoyment out of watching Kimora Lee Simmons’s show Fabulosity then I’m sure I’m gonna dig J. Lo’s new show. As long as she looks good (and the Marc Anthonyness is kept to a minimum), that’s all that really matters, yes?

The industrious folks who put out the fun viral videos for the upcoming Batman sequel The Dark Knight have unleashed a new short clip for our online viewing fun:

The clip is a teensy bit spoilery but you really can’t see anything. If you do “see” something and get what is implied from the video then you prolly already know enough about what is going to happen in the movie to not be spoiled. We are just about 1 month away from the movie’s release but I suspect that we still have more viral fun to come from the Batman folks.

Holy Shizz! The day I dreamed would come is nearly upon us … and I didn’t even know it until just this morning. Giorgio Armani has announced that a new round of David Beckham for Armani Underwear photos are going to be revealed tomorrow at 5pm PT at Macy’s in San Francisco. The new photos will follow the unveiling of a giant mural featuring an image of Becks from the new Emporio Armani Underwear advertising campaign for Autumn/Winter 2008-09. Giorgio Armani is pleased to announce that his friend and testimonial David Beckham will unveil a giant mural featuring an image from the new Emporio Armani Underwear advertising campaign for Autumn/Winter 2008-09 on June 18th, 2008, 5pm PST at Macy’s in San Francisco. The mural overlooks an outdoor amphitheatre adjacent to Macy’s with seating for 6,000 spectators, where David Beckham will also personally meet two hundred Emporio Armani Underwear customers . OMG, like, seriously … this is awesome news! I knew they’d end up shooting more photos of Becks in his little shorty pants but it’s been so long since the first batch of photos (all 3 of them) came out that I sorta forgot about them (blasphemy, I know). Previously (the first time around), they announced that the photos of Becks would be available online at midnight on January 1 … but the photos hit the InterWeb days beforehand and never officially made it to the Armani website until a couple of weeks into January. I suspect the same thing will happen this time around, too. I will keep my eagle eyes peeled for the release of these photos and will do my best bring the hawtness as soon as I can so we can all enjoy the pics together :) Again, I say Woot! Woot!

Robbie Williams surfaced in Hollywood, CA last night proudly showing off a full head of hair that most men would be proud of … especially if “most men” refers solely to Donald Trump. Here are a few pics of Robbie as he made his way out of Villa nightclub, signing autographs for the throng of admirers who surrounded him:

If John Mayer was anxious trying to emulate the hairstyle of Alex P. Keaton in Family Ties, then it seems pretty clear that Robbie is prolly doing his best to duplicate The Donald’s stylish ‘do. Despite the fact that Donald Trump has thin wisps of hair (prolly plugs) to work with, at least Robbie has a thick mane of hair to pile and comb-over on his head (not to mention the thick hair he’s got on his chest … which he is happy to show off). It’s deffo a look … not sure if it’s a good look for Robbie … but it’s a look nonetheless.

The newly wedded Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were spotted making their way thru LAX airport earlier this week with an extra special third party making a bold appearance. Here are a few pics of Ashl33n proudly showing off their emerging baby bump as they made their way thru the terminal and thru the security checkpoint:

No word on where the happy couple was jetting off to (I’m sure they’ll pop up soon enough, maybe in NYC) but they looked pleased as pie to be showing off their little bump. I suspect Papa Joe Simpson is pleased as well … to him, that bump represents beaucoup bucks once the child is born. But despite his grossness, I am very happy for Ashl33n and the coming birth of their child.
