Eric Dane Jumps For Joy

Great Danes
Friday, June 13th, 2008

A topless Eric Dance is vacationing with his also topless wife Rebecca Gayheart in the Caribbean this week and was snapped catching some mad air as he frolicked in the water … here is a very cute pic of Eric enjoying the beach with Rebecca in St. Barth yesterday:

There have been other, more unflattering, pics of Eric enjoying the beach this week (making it seem as if McSteamy has been spending way too much time at McDonald’s) but I am not all that interested in besmirching the man’s good name … or his usually good frame. He’s still a major hottie in my book!

Run, David, Run

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Earlier today we saw pics of Sarah Michelle Gellar filming scenes in NYC this week for her new movie Veronika Decides to Die … and here are pics of her former Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-star and ex-Angel star David Boreanaz doing a bit of jogging in London, England this week:

London must be where it’s at cuz quite a few celebs have made their way over to the other side of the pond in recent weeks. Chace Crawford has been spending some alone time there lately as well. I’m not entirely sure what brings David to Londontown but hopefully he’s able to enjoy some of the city without having to do too much work. It’s such a shame that I never got into his latest TV show Bones. I really tried to jump on board when it debuted a few years ago but … nope, it never took. Ah well … he’s still lookin’ good … coming AND going.

Vegas, Baby ‘… One More Time’

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Well now … what have we here? Britney Spears, with her father and conservator Jamie Spears not far behind, was spied boarding a private jet bound for Las Vegas. Brit’s most recent personal assistant was also along for the ride (sidebar: kudos to her for hanging in there with Britney and for lasting longer than the few shitty assistants that Britney employed last year –Shannon Funk and Carla Ruiz, I’m talking to you) for what can be assumed will be a fun weekend in Sin City … here are a few pics of Brit and her entourage at the airport yesterday:

Incidentally, Kevin Federline was also spied making preparations for a trip to Las Vegas for this weekend. K-Fed was snapped with his homies packing up his car for the trip:

It’s unclear if The Federline and his dawgs will be driving the whole way to Vegas or if they were merely making their way to the airport as well. It’s also unclear if there will be any sort of Spederline reunion going down in Vegas this weekend. I understand the kiddies, Sean Preston and Jayden James, were left at home (not sure with who, tho, Papa Jamie is going to Vegas with Brit and I believe Mama Lynne Spears is back in Kentwood, LA) … could a reconciliation be in the works? I’m not sure it’ll be quite that blatant but it does seem odd that both Brit and Kevin are headed for Vegas for the same weekend … sans kids. I’m gonna hafta keep my eye on this one.

A Done Deal

hey now, don't dream it's over

And so … another Hollywood marriage comes to an official and final end. Extra TV is reporting that the divorce of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe was finalized yesterday … the couple are dunzo for good:

“Extra” can confirm that the divorce between Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe was finalized yesterday. The new court papers confirm the “parties have settled all remaining issues in these proceedings.” In October 2007, the couple had received a judgment in status only. In 2006, Witherspoon and Phillippe formally separated after seven years of marriage. They have two children, daughter Ava and son Deacon.

You know, I totally forgot how much I kinda liked Witherppe together … despite the fact that I would joke around about how Ryan Phillippe really needed to be single, I never really meant it (it just made ogling all the hot, half-nekkid pics of him feel less creepy). Reese and Ryan made such a cute couple … when you consider how adorable their whole family looks when they’re together (Ava = the mini-Reese, Deacon = the mini-Ryan) it just makes the whole divorce seem really very sad. I wish them both all the happiness in the world … Ryan with Abbie Cornish, Reese with anyone other than Jake Gyllenhaal :)

Mayerston Go Public

Friday, June 13th, 2008

After weeks of keepin’ their love on the downlow (well, as downlow as the could), Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer made their first public event appearance as a couple last night (with BFFs Courteney Cox-Arquette and David Arquette, who were celebrating their anniversary) at the 2nd Annual OmniPeace Kitson Event which was held at STK and sponsored by Kitson. OmniPeace has been raising money for the Millennium Promise organization which seeks to help eradicate extreme poverty in Africa by 2025. Here are a few pics of Mayerston with the Cox-Arquettes and Jen and Court with Mary Fanaro (the founder of OmniPeace):

Jen Aniston and John Mayer went to their first public event together Thursday night. They joined Courteney Cox and David Arquette — who celebrated their nine-year anniversary that night — at a humanitarian event at L.A. steakhouse STK. A witness tells Usmagazine.com that Aniston and Mayer “had their arms around each other. She was rubbing his back and whispering into his ear. They were touching each other non-stop all night.” The bash was in honor of Jeffrey Sachs — who is known for his charity work with Angelina Jolie and is pals with Aniston’s ex Brad Pitt. (It was hosted by Mary Fanaro, founder of humanitarian organization OmniPeace, and sponsored by Kitson.)

Mayerston have been spending a lot of time with the Cox-Arquettes lately (they even BBQed together with them last weekend) so it makes sense that they would go public, A.) with their BFFs and B.) at a charity event for one of Courteney’s fave charities. Here are a couple pics of the elated Jen and John making their exit from the event last night:

Clearly, the couple are head over heels in lurve with one another ;) To be fair, it can’t be easy having to deal with all of the photogs everywhere you turn … I’d prolly be annoyed too. But, such is the price of fame. It’s kinda hard to feel too sorry for celebs who have difficulty contending with the intense fame that they’ve made a career (and a luxurious life) out of.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Takes The Plunge

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Here are a few photo of Sarah Michelle Gellar on the NYC set of her new movie Veronika Decides to Die. In this scene, SMG’s character Veronika decides to die by way of leaping off the Manhattan Bridge … which essentially means that SMG need only leap off a small platform set up on the Manhattan Bridge:

Again, it’s just great seeing SMG back to work on a new movie. While I’d be thrilled beyond words if she were to agree to star in a movie version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (er, well another movie version of BtVS with 100% less Luke Perry and 100% more Whedon Awesomeness), I’m just happy that she’s making any new movie — sooner or later one of them is bound to be a hit, right? Right? And even if not, she can always go back to playing Buffy. See, the Sex and the City Movie showed that not only can a hugely successful TV show make the transition to the big screen but a female-led movie can make boffo bucks at the box office. Hopefully SMG will come to her senses and sign on for a BtVS movie before she decides to die.

The Celtics are HONGRY, y'all
Friday, June 13th, 2008

Welp … despite making a comeback in Game 3 of the NBA Finals the LA Lakers fell to the Boston Celtics in Game 4 at the Staples Center here in LA last night … leaving the boys from Boston only one game away from the 2008 NBA Championship. Gameplay by the Lakers wasn’t able to get the job done … and praying didn’t help either:

Kobe Bryant realizes the Los Angeles Lakers are in deep trouble. He believes there’s only one reasonable way to approach such a grim situation. “I’m not thinking about beating them three straight,” Bryant said after the Lakers collapsed in the last 18 minutes Thursday night, resulting in a 97-91 loss to the Boston Celtics that put them on the brink of elimination from the NBA finals. “We’re thinking about beating them on Sunday,” Bryant said. “Then, you move on from there. Take one swing at a time to chop down a tree. We’ll take care of business on Sunday.” The Lakers led by as many as 24 points in the second quarter and by 20 midway through the third before the Celtics began one of the biggest comebacks in finals history to take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the comeback was the biggest in the finals since 1971, surpassing Houston’s comeback from a 20-point deficit to Orlando in the first game of the 1995 finals. The odds are stacked heavily against the Lakers. For one thing, no team has ever overcome a 3-1 deficit to win the finals. For another, they’ve got to win Sunday night at Staples Center and then win twice in Boston, where the Celtics have a 12-1 postseason record. “We let a huge opportunity slip away, so I’m upset, hurt, disappointed,” Bryant said. “It’s a huge loss, no doubt about it. We’ve got to take the good things that we did well in this game, understand what we did wrong in the third quarter and move on from there. They played great in the third quarter. We played like crap.” After two free throws by Vladimir Radmanovic with 6:04 left in the third quarter gave the Lakers a 70-50 lead, they were outscored 47-21 to finish the game. It all started with a 21-3 run to finish the third period … Lakers coach Phil Jackson said his players were “very depressed” after the game. He said he told them the series isn’t over. “They’re resilient. They have disappointments, they come back,” Jackson said. “It’s about team effort now, we have to make sure that we have a good collective energy again, come out and play that first half like we did before. “Our back is against the wall, but it’s just a game at a time, and that’s one thing we have to understand.”

HMMM … well, I suppose it’s possible that if the Celtics can come back from such a huge point deficit like they did last night than it’s possible that the Lakers can come back from a 3-1 deficit … right? Yeah, keep prayin’ Becks and we’ll see if that actually happens.

Anyways, here are a few pics of some of the celebs who came out to cheer for their favorite team last night …

… whether it be the Donnie Wahlberg for the Celtics or Ice Cube for the Lakers the celebs seem happy to be cheering on their team (especially the Boston fans). Game 5 goes down in Bean Town on Sunday night. I’m rootin’ for the Lakers but I’ve got mad respect for the Celtics. May the best team win.
