Awwww. It looks like Club Paris in Orlando, FL (named after the illustrious Paris Hilton) is finally being put out of its misery. After 3 successful years in the nightclub biz, Fred Khalilian, the Chairman of Club Paris, LLC, has decided that Club Paris will be put down on July 29 … only to be replaced by Dolce nightclub:

Honestly, I had no idea the place was even still open. I remember hearing ages ago that the club was floundering so bad that the club owner was having a hard time getting Paris Hilton to even show up and make her promised public appearances. I’m sure Paris is fine with the club’s demise … after all, she’s settled down quite a bit and isn’t nearly the partygirl she used to be. I doubt the public will mind very much either. OY! It appears that things have switched over without a hitch. I’ve been hearing some great feedback all morning long (all night long, in fact, the comments started rolling in as soon as the site went live) so thank you all for taking the time. I was overjoyed to see so many of my very good friends at S Bar last night. It was really humbling being able to run into the faces of people that I care about at every turn inside a packed club. I ain’t gonna lie … I am very excited for the release of this movie. It looks so dumb funny that I know it’s going to be a good time. I understand that the character of The Love Guru was supposed to make his debut in the Austin Powers movies but it wasn’t quite fleshed out and got cut from the films. Looks like Mike Meyers has been working on bringing this character to the big screen for some time now. Can I also say how much I *love* that my Detroit homeboy Chris Osgood from the NHL Champion Detroit Red Wings was not only invited to the movie premiere but also brought along with him the most beloved trophy in sports history, the Stanley Cup. Last week there was a bit of hoopla over the report that Britney Spears filmed a cameo for the new Pussycat Dolls music video When I Grow Up … and now it turns out that it was much ado about nothing. We do know for sure that Britney did film scenes for the new PCD vid … in fact, Pink reader Laura‘s peeps happened to be on the studio tour at Warner Bros. Studios on June 4th and caught part of the music video rehearsals:

[P]art of my family is out in LA doing the tourist thing. They went on the WB studio tour yesterday and saw Britney sitting outside a studio where she was working on a routine with the Pussy Cat Dolls.

But today, MTV News is reporting that the PCD video has been completed and Britney‘s cameo was cut for the final version:

Britney Spears may have looked “hot and blond” in the cameo she filmed for the Pussycat Dolls’ new video, “When I Grow Up” — which will premiere on FNMTV Friday night — but we may never know just how hot and blond. Spears, who filmed a bit part in the video for the first single from the Dolls’ upcoming album last week in Los Angeles, was edited out of the final cut of the clip. A spokesperson for the Dolls could not be reached for comment on why Spears was not included in the video. The group’s members did not elaborate on the edit during the taping of “FNMTV” Thursday night in Los Angeles.

Extra TV has posted a short clip of the music vid HERE for viewing and also confirm that Britney didn’t make the final cut of the music video:

Reports claim that Britney Spears makes a cameo in the video, but “Extra” has seen the finished product — and we were unable to spot Ms. Brit!

Either PCD is dumb as hell for not using Brit‘s cameo … OR they’re saving her for the remixed or alt. version of the vid. The song is growing on me like crazy (blame it on the “ha ha ha ha” part) and I was really looking forward to seeing Brit Brit in the vid. I hope we will get to see her cameo at some point. Other celebs may be gettin’ hitched left and right all over Hollywood but don’t plan on any nuptials for Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake anytime soon … if ever.

Life and Style magazine is reporting that Michael Jackson is teaming up with Christian Audigier to collaborate and design a new line of clothing together … cuz, you know, Christian Audigier‘s usual designs aren’t quite gaudy enough:

Michael Jackson, 49, whose unique fashion sense ranges from sequined gloves to surgical masks, is working on a new clothing line with Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier. “It’s still in the developing stages, but it’s going to be big,” an insider tells Life & Style. “This will be a major comeback for Michael. He’s dedicating a lot of his time and money to this venture.”

Dear Gods, this line of clothing will be absolutely and gloriously hideous! I must admit, there are some Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier designs that I *kinda* like … not all of it, but some of the stuff is kitschy enough to look good … but I’m not counting on anything from the Michael Jackson collection to fall into this category. Alls I know is that they better be bringing back the sequined glove — at least! 80′s retro is so hot right now (as you may have noticed with all the neon stuff popping up everywhere), I think it’s time to rock the sequined glove and red leather jacket covered in zippers again … who’s with me? Cuz, if no one else is with me, then I’ll be the only fool wearing this shizz … me and Michael Jackson ;) [Source]

After hitting a speed bump or two, Mama Lynne Spears‘s tell-all memoir (which was put on hold almost immediately after it was announced for publication) is now back on track for a Fall release. Entitled Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, Lynne‘s new book will tell her side of the story of raising her famous daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn. Hmmmm:

Lynne Spears’s memoir about raising her famous daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn will be released this fall, the publisher confirms to PEOPLE. “When Jamie Lynn got pregnant, it was put on hold,” says a spokesman for Thomas Nelson, which publishes inspirational books and Bibles. “Lynne never stopped working on it because she wants to express her love for her children and tell their stories through a mother’s eyes.” Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World” is likely to be released in September, says the spokesman. Spears’s manuscript “will not be a parenting book,” he says. “It’s her story of what it was like being a mom and raising two very famous people. It’s a memoir.”

I dunno about this. The book may have been put on hold when news of Jamie Lynn‘s pregnancy broke earlier this year but I recall that Britney was never too keen on her mother writing a book about their family private life. I would hate for Lynne to jeopardize all the progress she has made healing the rift with her daughter just so that she can release a tell-all book. Something about this whole thing just rubs me the wrong way. I suppose the book could be an uplifting and totally positive fluff piece completely devoid of any salacious and/or disparaging content … but I suspect the publishers are very interested in selling books, and the salacious sells. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how much of her daughters Lynne Spears is willing to monetize in order to sell some books. [Source]
