Over the weekend, Sharon Osbourne and the contestants of the VH1 reality TV show Rock of Love: Charm School convened here in SoCal to tape the reunion special for the show which is set to air next weekend. As some of you may be aware, Rock of Love: Charm School is a spin-off of the show Flavor of Love: Charm School both of which are spin-offs of their original shows Rock of Love and Flavor of Love respectively … which are spin-offs of even more original show Strange Love which spun off of The Surreal Life — AND there’s another spin-off called Rock of Love: Tour Bus on the way. Charm School is an series that attempts to teach former contestants class and lady-like poise … and Sharon Osbourne was chosen to be the host and model of class and lady-likeness. Yeah, contestant Megan Hauserman claims that Sharon O. attacked and injured her at the taping of the reunion show this weekend … which sounds about as classy and lady-like as one can get:
The LAPD is investigating an alleged brutal cat fight that went down between Sharon Osbourne and a contestant on the VH1 reality show “Rock of Love: Charm School” who ended up in the hospital. Megan Hauserman claims Sharon went ballistic during a taping of the show’s reunion special Saturday night — accusing Osbourne of running across the stage, grabbing Megan by her hair and refusing to let go. Hauserman claims Sharon (who is the host of the show) continued to pull and scratch until security eventually separated the two. Megan went to the hospital Sunday afternoon and filed a report with the LAPD on Sunday night. According to Megan, the whole thing started after Sharon took a verbal shot at her, and the Charmed School” contestant responded by telling Sharon she is only famous for managing a brain dead rock star — and then all hell broke loose. The LAPD says Sharon is a suspect in a minor battery. No charges have been filed. Calls to VH1 and Sharon’s management company were not returned.
I mean, if you are seriously looking to learn class and etiquette from someone like Sharon Osbourne, mebbe you do need to get the crap beat out of and the sense beat into you. Nothing at all about any of this surprises me in the least. In fact, as ridic as all of this sounds, I’m sure that Megan (who has already appeared on the reality shows Rock of Love, I Love Money and Charm School back-to-back) is kinda relishing the attention that she’s getting out of this incident. This is the damage done to Megan Hauserman, who claims Sharon Osbourne scratched her and pulled out chunks of her hair during the “Rock of Love: Charm School” reunion on Saturday. The irony of this situation does not escape us. Megan went to the hospital on Sunday — hence the photo — and also filed a report with the LAPD.
Ouch! That does look painful. While I really think that Megan is loving this attention, there is still no excuse for an attack like this (if true) to ever take place on national television — or anywhere else for that matter. That being said, I’m pretty sure I’m gonna tune in to see how much of this incident gets aired on VH1. I can’t lie … sometimes these reunion specials are the best parts of these insipid shows. It’s okay to be appalled and minorly entertained all at the same time, right? It has to be … networks like VH1 who air this stuff are banking on it.

Team Osbourne on this one – I actually liked Megan back when she was on Beauty and the Geek, but she’s definitely whored herself out to one too many reality shows and has overstayed her welcome (not to mention just become not very nice – unless you can blame the editors for that one).
I’m not going to admit that I sometimes watch this show. I will say, this girl Megan has always enjoyed messing with people and getting into their heads, I know it’s for entertainment value but you could tell sometimes she really did hurt people’s feelings. I agree, I don’t ever condemn physical violence but she kind of had it coming to her from someone.

You know what? I’m disgusted – with you Trent. And with the gay community and our support for this trash that passes for entertainment. HOw vapid do we have to be? Really? Sharon was about the kick the crap out of a lot of the girls during the show. Don’t mess with her! She was a wonderful host of the show because the girls knew she wouldn’t let them have there way and could knock them back down a few notches. I’m glad Heather got beat up by Sharon. She had to learn that if you aren’t going to be a lady then the world will kick your ass one way or another. This time it was literal.

I agree with Shaun’s take on Megan. She is the type of person that is always crossing the line and trying to hurt other people with her words and actions – it’s the only thing she does with fervor. She was too much of a bitch to even change her ways temporarily to win $100,000!! The only thing that would get through to her is a good ass-whooping, and she should have known that she wouldn’t get away with saying something so ignorant. Lady or not, an intelligent person might gather that they should not cross Sharon Osbourne. Megan deserved it – as does anyone who thinks that they can be ignorant and disrespectful to get everything they want. She needs to learn to have respect for other people’s feelings, because apathy towards everyone but yourself is only going to get her hurt worse!
My whole point is Yes, some people do things that make others want to physically hurt them but that does NOT give them the right to do so. Reality TV is all about entertainment but when physical attacks come into play, then it’s not really that entertaining any more. Whether Megan deserved an ass-beating or not, I’d expect a mature woman like Sharon Osbourne to know how to control herself … again, if she actually did assault the girl. It annoys the hell out of me that she actually won that show because I loved it and felt that unlike most other reality shows, the contestants really got something out of the experience (other then money) and had to show that personal growth in order to progress in the show! Anyway…VH1 gave her her own show now called Trophy Wife. Remember when VH1 used to have good programming? What happened to the days of pop up video??

I watched all the episodes of Charm School. I watched the whole Reunion Episode. From the time the camera first went on Megan, you could tell the girl was either on something or drunk off her ass. She ran her mouth and got what she deserved. I had a flashback to Anna Nicole during her “pilled out” phase before her death… Hmmm…. maybe Megan should admit herself into rehab with Dr. Drew! She is a reality TV whore, so that would be a probable next step for her. These ladies ( I use that term losely) need to realize what they are doing to their careers. It is sad that some of them feel like they have to act like a porn star to get anywhere in life. Makes for good reality TV though… As far as Sharon.. she has been around a long time and has come up against tougher people than this ditzy girl.
